Mobility is one of SEKISUI’s key business fields, offering innovative solutions. The Japan-originated company has been focusing on the electric vehicles (EV) market as one of its key business for the future.
Considering the global business of the company, SEKISUI offers many technologies for smart cities. Our “SEKISUI Safe and Sound Project” close to Tokyo, a smart city currently under construction, focusses on solving societal issues such as a decreasing population, an aging society and environmental problems – improving people’s life and the Earth’s environment at the same time.
In the Netherlands SEKISUI started its operations in 1974. Since then, the Dutch presence has gown constantly, consisting of 6 companies in the region by today. 4 sites are focusing on the automotive industry. In addition to the various sites in the region, SEKISUI choose to partner with the Automotive Campus in Helmond for the automotive R&D activities in Europe and also hold close relationships with the High-Tech Campus and TU in Eindhoven.
The Netherlands are the central hub for the European business of SEKISUI. Being geographically located in the middle of Europe it makes the perfect region to target the whole European market. 50% of the European workforce in based in the Netherlands today.
