Robert van den Hoogenband, Manager Acquisition Sporting Events at Brabant Sport, tells us: “This is it, I felt right away. On top of that, formula-E is on the rise, now you can still get on board. So there’s every reason to give it a go.”

Sport is socially and economically important for the province. That’s why we’re joining forces in Brabant Sport. With partners from the business community, knowledge institutions and governments, goals are achieved that previously seemed unattainable. Whether it’s the many high-tech companies in our region, the creative sector or social innovation: innovation is in the DNA of Brabant.

In Brabant we do things together. That’s also the smartest way to win major sporting events.  Here the companies find each other incredibly quick at board level. There’s a lot of quick connections. This can also be seen, for example, in the joint shirt sponsorship of football club PSV by Brainport. But also at a provincial level there is close connection. They recognize the powerful statement we can make with this event, from different portfolios.

Make no mistake: This will be by far the biggest sporting event we have ever experienced in Brabant in terms of impact, also because it will be a city race, right through the city centre and therefore everybody’s race.  Events contribute to a pleasant residential, working and living environment and provide a strong connection between people from Brabant, and in doing so increasing spending in the economy. A great win-win. We would like to see the E-prix embraced throughout Brabant, with a week of side-events.”
